Watch out Las Vegas! Mariah Carey has just decided to make Sin City her home for a couple months in the fall (September & October) to start her stint of “intimate engagements” at the Palms Casino Resort.  Will I be going? No. But I’m sure there are tons of fans out there just dying to attend. What’s the princess charging these days to watch her perform? Oh, just a measly $129-$254 a ticket. !!!!  I know she’s talented, but really?! Doesn’t Ms. Carey already have enough money to pay her personal trainers and buy personal jets?  Maybe she’s just money hungry. Either way, I hope the Maloof’s treat her with the luxury and respect that she certaintly needs!

This video absolutely made my morning. It’s like Mario Bros, except with the King of Pop

Further proof that Hollywood is completely out of good ideas, some brilliant movie exec is thinking about turning Lauren Conrad’s book LA Candy into a movie.  Really?  Kind of makes me want to start writing a script.  I mean, I’m sure I couldn’t do any worse than our girl LC.  So I assume the plot goes something like this: young, innocent girl hits the big city, gets her own reality show, and inexplicably turns into someone famous for doing, well, not much.  Sounds fascinating.  Well, seeing that everything else has been simply handed to Ms. Conrad, I’m quite sure that this will be made into a movie, and she’ll continue raking in money hand over fist all for doing, what, again?

This is very sad.  You probably don’t remember her name, but I definitely remember her audition, or at least her anti-Simon diatribe after she was turned down by the judges!  Alexis Cohen, who auditioned first in Season 7 of American Idol, and then returned last season as a slightly more subdued version of herself, was struck by a car and killed early Saturday in Seaside Heights, New Jersey.  The guy who hit her, Daniel Bark, was charged with aggravated manslaughter in a NJ court today.  If you watch to refresh your memory, here’s her audition from Season 7.  She had evidently even tried out again this season, and was getting ready for her callback.  Our best wishes go our to her family.

Last night at the JoBros concert in Detroit, Joe Jonas reportedly cried during their performance.  Recent reports said that he bnroke up with his girlfriend, Camilla Belle.  I can’t tell if he’s crying or not, but I’m really amused by the constant screaming of the little girl who goes hoarse by trhe end of the clip.
