Nicki Minaj Opened up about her crazy style and about feeling sexy. She also said she thinks Gay Men are the only men who understand women. This might actually be true haha…here is what Nicki had to say…

“Recently I’ve switched it up and just tried to show people a whole different bunch of sides to me. I would be lying if I said I don’t like to look sexy. But then there are some days when I don’t want to look or feel sexy. So it just plays into how women are so multifaceted. Men don’t understand that because they wake up and they’re the same person unless you’re a KenBarb and you can understand the girls. All the leading women in pop and R&B are usually beautiful women wearing tiny outfits so if someone says, ‘I don’t feel the pressure,’ it’s probably not true. But it’s weird because I feel most comfortable when I’m covered up. I think that’s the biggest misconception – that in order for me to be sexy I have to make sure my boobs are out. I’m not superhuman.

Love herrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Nicki’s album “Pink Friday” is in stores and available on iTunes now. :) -OA

Although she’s only a few months along, P!nk has already picked her perfect baby name for a little boy:  Jameson.

It’s a blend of James, her father’s name, and Jason, her brother’s name.  And of course from Jameson Whiskey.  That’s soooo P!nk.  Unfortunately, her doctor thinks she’s going to have a little girl. Oh well, guess her little girl will have to just grow up brushing her teeth with Jack like Ke$ha does. Let’s just hope P!nk’s baby is a little less trashy, yeah? :) -OA

For fair skinned beauties, finding eye shadow can be a huge challenge.  So instead of telling what colors you SHOULD wear… I am going to give you a guide to which colors to stay away from.

Aqua: it may depend on how fair your skin is, but this color will not work well.

Pink: if you have fair skin and a pink hue to your skin OR if you are a  red head pink should not be a color on your list.

Olive Green: it will make you appear sick and haggard because of its touch of yellow.

Dark black: too much black will give you a look of a losing fighter. Try brown or charcoal grey instead.

Now, take a little time practicing with other colors, avoiding the affore mentioned of course.

What does funny lady Betty White share with teen singing sensation Justin Bieber?

What do film star Sandra Bullock and hoops star LeBron James have in common?

All are among this year’s crop of “The 10 Most Fascinating People,” as harvested by Barbara Walters from the fields of entertainment, sports and world affairs.

Also on the list: GOP superstar Sarah Palin, incoming “American Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez, royal fiancee Kate Middleton and the entire cast of MTV’s “Jersey Shore.” Two more Most Fascinating People are yet to be disclosed, and, as usual, the 10th name will be kept under wraps until the ABC News special airs Dec. 9 at 10 p.m. EST.

This is the 18th year Walters has presented her roundup of the biggest and most buzzworthy. But this year, there’s more. She’s got a companion special the same night.

An hour earlier – at 9 p.m. EST – Walters is hosting “Oprah, The Next Chapter.” It’s an in-depth visit with Winfrey as she readies OWN, her new cable network launching Jan. 1, and roars down the home stretch of her daytime talk show’s final season.

“I interviewed her in 1988, when she was first becoming very popular,” Walters said not long ago. “She and I consider this latest interview our coming full circle.”

On the program, Winfrey will discuss her new network, the reason she’s doing it and concerns she has for its success – “it’s a huge leap of faith,” Walters said.

Winfrey also talks “very personally” about her relationships with best friend Gayle King and longtime partner Stedman Graham.

“This is an interview about Oprah’s life at this turning point,” Walters said.

That’s gonna be on my DVR!

Alicia Keys and Lady Gaga take charity work seriously, and they’re going offline to prove it.

Gaga, Justin Timberlake, Usher and other celebrities have joined a new campaign called Digital Life Sacrifice on behalf of Keys’ charity, Keep a Child Alive. The entertainers plan to sign off of social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter on Wednesday, which is World AIDS Day. The participants will sign back on when the charity raises $1 million.

“It’s really important and super-cool to use mediums that we naturally are on,” Keys said in a phone interview from New York last week.

For the campaign – which also includes Jennifer Hudson, Ryan Seacrest, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Elijah Wood, Serena Williams, Janelle Monae and Keys’ husband, Swizz Beatz – celebrities have filmed “last tweet and testament” videos and will appear in ads showing them lying in coffins to represent what the campaign calls their digital deaths.

“It’s so important to shock you to the point of waking up,” Keys said. “It’s not that people don’t care or it’s not that people don’t want to do something, it’s that they never thought of it quite like that.”

The campaign, she said, puts the disease in perspective.

“This is such a direct and instantly emotional way and a little sarcastic, you know, of a way to get people to pay attention,” said Keys, who has more than 2.6 million followers on Twitter.

The foundation, which began in 2003, will accept donations through text messages and bar-code technology, which is featured in the charity’s Buy Life campaign. Raised efforts support families affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India.

“We’re trying to sort of make the remark: Why do we care so much about the death of one celebrity as opposed to millions and millions of people dying in the place that we’re all from?” said Leigh Blake, the president and co-founder of Keep a Child Alive.

“It’s about love and respect and human dignity,” she added.

Keys said recruiting celebrities was difficult because of scheduling, but “once I got people on the phone and I was able to paint the concept for them, everybody was in.”

Not one person said no, Keys recalled.

“I have a feeling that Gaga is going to raise it all by herself,” Blake said. Lady Gaga has more than 7.2 million followers on Twitter, and nearly 24 million fans on Facebook.

“She’s got a very, very mobilized fan base and that’s beautiful to watch I think (and) she’s able to draw their attention to these issues that are very important, you know, and that people follow it and act.”

Keys is hoping more people – both famous folks and non-celebs – get involved once the new initiative launches: “It just doesn’t have to be just because you’re a celebrity or something like that. It can be anybody.”

Keys, 29, married rapper-producer Swizz Beatz in July. The two had their first son, Egypt, last month. The Grammy winner said that though her life’s getting busier, being a mother and wife makes her want to help others even more.

“As a human being, you deserve to have a chance at life,” she said.

It’s cold outside… like really really cold.
Luckily for us… Knit caps are huge this season and pretty much one of the most adorable accessories you can put on your precious little head. A knit cap can work with your hair down, tucked in side with a little hanging out, in pig tails or even with just a side pony.
Add it to a matching scarf, warm sweater and jeans and you have yourself a festive holiday outfit that will still keep you looking hot.

Legendary Hollywood funny man, Leslie Nielson, died over the weekend, but did Jason spot him a few months ago.

A couple months back, Jason took a trip to Santa Cruz and while having dinner at the Santa Cruz Diner, he noticed a familiar face sitting next to him. It was Leslie Nielson! Jason didn’t want to be rude and bother him while he was eating, but he did snap a few pictures. It was really dark inside and he didn’t want to be obvious about the picture taking. Some people question whether or not it was him or not. What do you think? Did Jason have dinner next to the late, great Leslie Nielson???

Did Jason see Leslie Nielson?

You may or may not remember hearing about this true story a few years ago.  127 Hours is about Aron Ralston, who was a young adventurer who was hiking in Utah and got his hand trapped between a canyon wall and a giant rock.  He was trapped there for (you guessed it) 127 hours until he decided to save himself by cutting his own arm off with a dull, rusty pocket knife and hiked back out of the desert.  That’s not a spoiler alert because if you’re going to see this movie, you pretty much know what’s going to happen.  In fact, if you don’t know that I’m glad I told you because it’s intense.  I heard someone say that, “to say 127 Hours isn’t about the arm cutting scene is like saying Jaws isn’t about the shark.”  That’s true but only to an extent.  Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire, 28 Days Later) takes us on a journey so harrowing and awful that the only reason why it’s watchable is because you know Aron survived.  Again, not a spoiler because it says in the opening credits the movie is based on his book.  From the second the boulder crushes his hand and he realizes he’s trapped in that canyon, it’s nothing but a film about claustrophia and helplessness.  But there are two elements of the film that prevent it from getting boring.  One is Boyle’s unique style of aggressive filmmaking.  His films feel like what Oliver Stone’s used too.  However, in 127 Hours it does feel unnecessary at times to have such jumpy editing and trippy, out-of-focus shots.  The other is star James Franco (Milk, Pinneapple Express) giving the best performance of his career so far.  If The Academy overlooks him for Best Actor, the entire awards should be ashamed.  Franco brings so much energy, humor and heartbreak to a one-man tour-de-force that you ARE trapped down there with him.  But you’re not gonna get through the movie without a little blood on you because you have to make it through the arm-cutting scene.  I’m a fan of horror movies and have seen my share of gore, but this was different.  Boyle’s directing makes that scene seem like a music video in the way that it’s a solid 3-4 minutes that has odd angles, quick edits and strange music.  It doesn’t dwell on the gruesomeness but in a way that makes it more disturbing.  But it’s not just a splatter scene…it’s art.  Yes, this scene is almost impossible to watch but it’s brimming with emotion.  When I saw The Passion of The Christ by Mel Gibson, I cried during the crucifixtion scene.  Not because I’m a Christian but because, as a fellow human being, it was so sad to know someone had to endure that much suffering.  The arm-cutting scene in 127 Hours had the exact same effect on me and I wept while I cringed.  The movie is about hope, not pain.  It made me feel the way that Sean Penn’s Into the Wild did, except this one is happier because Aron lived and Chris didn’t.  This film will make you appreciate your freedom, appreciate your family and appreciate your limbs.  It’s going to leave a stamp on your heart and soul, even if you want to get up and leave at some points.

Tangled

Posted in: Kids

When The Princess and The Frog came out last year, there was a trailer for this movie before it and it almost appeared that Disney was going to keep this classic 2D animation of the classic fairytale musical stories going.  You know, like The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Aladdin and Beauty and The Beast.  I thought The Princess and The Frog was marvelous and just as worthy to stand among those other Disney classics.  But then I saw that Tangled was going to be computer animated and…even worse…released in 3D!  I wrote this film off as another crappy Disney movie that could’ve been released by any other studio before I even saw it.  I was wrong.  I enjoyed this movie SO MUCH more than I thought I would.  First off, the computer animation is made to look (almost in tribute too) the 2D animation.  Second, the 3D effects are fun but not too gimicky to make me think I’m in an amusement park.  But most importantly, this is a classic Disney movie in every sense.  It’s a musical with great songs.  It’s fun and colorful.  It has a hilarious script and is directed well by a team of guys who worked on Bolt, which was far from traditional Disney.  It follows the formula for a successful Disney film to the finest point: a princess who’s in trouble but is still tough, a charming hero that doesn’t like her at first, talking (or not talking) animal friends that steal the show with their human emotions, an evil villain that has one, clear goal, unlikely friends the two main characters meet along the way, love that comes from their shared expierence and songs, action and comedy to wrap it all up.  Put it all in the pot, bring it to a slow boil and you’ve got a successful Disney film.  Sure they’re all the same but remember that the target audience is children; the more you can keep it familiar to them, the more they’ll dig it.  The whole thing is wonderfully acted by the shockingly good team of Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi (ABC’s Chuck), who can actually sing pretty well.  There are times when you’re watching Tangled that you forget that it’s computer animated and, for me, that’s what really won me over as a fan.  I guess I just need to come to terms with the fact that the classic 2D animation might be dead.  Although The Princess and The Frog was a critical success, it was considered a box office failure and I suppose that’s because kids want to see 2D animation as much as adults want to see Black and White films.  But as long as Disney still pays homage to the old school, I can learn to love the new school.
