What does funny lady Betty White share with teen singing sensation Justin Bieber?

What do film star Sandra Bullock and hoops star LeBron James have in common?

All are among this year’s crop of “The 10 Most Fascinating People,” as harvested by Barbara Walters from the fields of entertainment, sports and world affairs.

Also on the list: GOP superstar Sarah Palin, incoming “American Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez, royal fiancee Kate Middleton and the entire cast of MTV’s “Jersey Shore.” Two more Most Fascinating People are yet to be disclosed, and, as usual, the 10th name will be kept under wraps until the ABC News special airs Dec. 9 at 10 p.m. EST.

This is the 18th year Walters has presented her roundup of the biggest and most buzzworthy. But this year, there’s more. She’s got a companion special the same night.

An hour earlier – at 9 p.m. EST – Walters is hosting “Oprah, The Next Chapter.” It’s an in-depth visit with Winfrey as she readies OWN, her new cable network launching Jan. 1, and roars down the home stretch of her daytime talk show’s final season.

“I interviewed her in 1988, when she was first becoming very popular,” Walters said not long ago. “She and I consider this latest interview our coming full circle.”

On the program, Winfrey will discuss her new network, the reason she’s doing it and concerns she has for its success – “it’s a huge leap of faith,” Walters said.

Winfrey also talks “very personally” about her relationships with best friend Gayle King and longtime partner Stedman Graham.

“This is an interview about Oprah’s life at this turning point,” Walters said.

That’s gonna be on my DVR!

What next? Is George W. Bush going to be in favor of gay marraige when he no longer has some power? Eminem apparently has come around and is speaking out in favor of same sex marraige, rather than bashing homosexuality like he has in the past. Kudos to Em.

In an interview with The New York Times Magazine, which was released just yesterday, Eminem speaks on gay relationships and marriages.

The rapper has used gay slurs several times in his music. MTV has reported that gay rights groups have called his lyrics “homophobic and hateful.”

After being asked by Times’ Deborah Solomon if he’d support a gay marraige in Michigan, Eminem said, “I think if two people love each other, then what the hell? I think that everyone should have the chance to be equally miserable, if they want.” Eminem promised to leave offending rhymes out of his upcoming UK shows. “I think I’ve calmed down a bit. My overall look on things is a lot more mature than it used to be,” he said. In the interview, Eminem tells Time that his new found maturity has a lot do with retiring his obnoxious Slim Shady persona. He said, “Shady still exists. But I don’t think the subjects on this record call for, you know, bringing the chainsaws and axes out and murdering everyone.”

Eminem’s new album, Recovery, was just released TODAY.

Alright, I’m not crying like the crazy Britney dude, but is anyone else a little disturbed about the INTENSE amount of media coverage of Mr. Woods and his alleged infidelity? It is completely out of control!! Whatever happened to privacy in this country? I’ve heard a lot of people saying that, “if he would just come out and admit it then people would stop speculating about everything.” While that may be true, why does Tiger owe an explanation to anyone but his wife? It’s none of our business. And yes, I realize I’m sadly in the minority when I say that. Frankly, I’m impressed with Tiger for not wanting to address the matter with the vultures, I mean, tabloid media. If he indeed cheated on his wife, he’s got enough to deal with at home. And the fact that he is apparently more concerned about saving his marriage than worried about what we or the media think about him is very refreshing.

Will Ferrell made his return to SNL during Thursday night’s election show, probably giving us a sneak peek of what’s in store for him in 2009. He will be starring in a one-man Broadway show, playing President Bush during the last 30 days of his presidency.
