Braids are the must-have hairstyle for the summertime; and you’re able to don them during the daytime and evening.  In the afternoon, you can twist up your locks into a milkmaid braid.  By keeping your hair swept up, you’ll be able to stay cool and stylish.  If you are going for a dramatic look, emulate the heiress’ mane and part your hair down the middle. Don’t worry about what to wear with this creation, because anything in your closet will match.

Just remember to keep you makeup simple. By far, this will be your cheapest accessory during the season.

Your eye brows can make or break your look.  So keeping your eye browse tamed is vital… but it goes beyond tweezing. Using a clear mascara to smooth over your eye brows is a perfect way to make them look perfect.  Dot 4 drops of clear mascara from your brush onto your eyebrow.  Then using the brush carefully stroke the eyebrow.   To shape them use your finger to curve the top of your eyebrow and then the bottoms..Then just glide along the eyebrow to collect fly aways.  DONE!!!!

There is a new trend in makeup that a lot of celebs like Megan Fox and Charlize Theron do that looks really great when done right. And it couldn’t be an easier trick to pull off.  It’s the old eye shadow switcharoo.  Instead of applying the darker color on her eyelids and the lighter color above, she applies the lighter color on her lid and the darker shade above.

This enhances their beautiful eyes and adds to over all stunning look.

You’re trying to save money… we all are… and let’s face it, throwing down $150 every six week on cut a color isn’t going to help you stay in within your budget.
So coloring your hair at home is a great wait to save some cash but there are definetly a few tips you should follow to get a salon quality look, especially if you want highlights….
Here’s what the pros say…

• Use a clarifying shampoo on your hair at least two days before coloring.
• Never shampoo the day you color.
• Check the expiration date on the package. And once you mix the color, use it right away!
• Toss out the brush that comes in the box and buy flat 1/2 and 1/4 inch acrylic brushes. These brushes, used by artists, are available at art supply stores (they’ll give you better control and more natural-looking results)
And finally,
• Start from the back of your head and work forward. By working from back to front, you won’t smear the pieces in front by having to reach over them to do the back.

If you have extremely sensitive skin either all the time or just seasonally…A great product to use that doesn’t seem sexy but will certainly make your skin feel firm and smooth is Cetaphil lotion.

Now I will be the first to admit Cetaphil needs to revamp their image cause by the looks of the bottle… it looks like something your grandmother would use…but it is one of the best skin products out there and it has been around for years!!!

I use the Cetaphil facial cleanser and  I  just started using the lotion after I shave. It’s everywhere… it’s inexpensive and you will love it.

If you are looking to do a little organizing and or you need more closet space…

Start with your shoes.  Look through all of your shoes and box up the winter ones.  People make the mistake of taking up space by leaving out their boots during the summer….Just like we box up our winter coats and sweaters… your winter shoes should be put away during the warm months as well.

You will find you have a ton more space… and you will be so much more organized.

Finding the perfect lip liner to go create a pleasant pout can sometimes require patients.

  • Look for a shade of lip liner that is just a little darker than your normal lipstick color. You may need more than one liner, which is perfectly fine.
  • Find a mirror and practice blending the two. If you like what you see, get the same color again. If not, you may have to buy a new shade and try again.
  • Pay attention to brand. Some brands last longer or use more natural products.
  • Buy a couple of the same color once you find the brand and shade you love. You can keep one at home, one with you for quick touch ups and one in your desk.

We have all been in a situation where the tag from our shirt or pants keeps rubbing against you and either hurts or itches and drives you crazy all day.

Now you can always take the approach of just ripping the tag out but you run the risk of tearing your clothes and ruining them or you can go in the bathroom with a pair of scissors… take your clothes off and cut out the tag… BUT don’t expect to remember the brand or size.

I have found a great trick is getting a band aid and placing over the tag that is causing the problem. It gives you instant relief and usually stays on for a few washes.

Right now, it’s not fashionable to match your earrings to your necklace.  For example… pearl earrings and pearl necklace.

In fact, it’s better to choose one or the other – great earrings or great necklace.

If you wearing a bold necklace AND earrings you run the risk of looking gouty.

And if you go too simple with both necklace and earrings… they won’t stand out at all.

Look at least 3 pairs of earrings or at least 3 necklaces before you make your decision if they will work together.
