UPDATE: We told you about the little girl’s autograph book that Gavin found while on his honeymoon in Disney World. Well he sent the autograph book back to the little girl and has an update to the story:

Autograph Book Update

While on their honeymoon in Disney World, Gavin and his new wife Stacy found a lost autograph book with a little girl name and address inside.

The book had no autographs written in it so Gavin and Stacy thought it would be nice to take the book home and forge a bunch of signatures from Disney characters and then mail it back to the little girl.

Here are pictures of the book and the autographs they forged:

Jason has some concerns about them doing this; “What if the girl got a new book and compares the autographs between the two?” or “What if it teaches her that every time you lose something you will magically get it back?”

What do you think? Are Gavin and Stacy doing the right thing? Let us know in the comments below.

  1. Hiya, I’ve been listening to your show and I think that it’s really sweet what your doing. I remember when I was 7 I went to disneyland. I had one of those stupid panic attacks when I thought I’d lost my book and it was in my bag all along. If I had lost it then I would have been thrilled to revieve it in the post, especially from someone who lives so far away.

I think it’s really sweet and you can always attatch a letter for the parents.

  2. I think this is a very thoughtful thing they are doing. That little girl will be so excited. Even if she got another book, She is probably too little to think to compare autographs. I think they should send it!!!!

  3. I think its so cute and so sweet that they are doing this! You should definitely send it to her. Besides, every autograph is different even if it’s the same character. There’s a little bit of difference in each one.

  4. I think it’s really sweet. If you are concerned about whether she got another autograph book – address the package to her parents with a note to them about it. Then they have the option to “go along” with it or not. They can choose what’s right for their child. But just think if the girl was so sad because she didn’t get the autographs and this just makes her day. :)

  6. THAT IS AWESOME! even if she compares 2 different books/signatures it wouldn’t matter – each person who plays a character makes up a signature. i’m sure there isn’t a “universal” signature for each character!

  7. Send it! But if you are worried about the parents send it to them with a note that you helped have the book filled in (not how you did it)….Any child will love it!!

  8. I think its really funny but nice. You guys should send it to her. Its not like if she would notice the difference at all. I would do the same thing. You guys should also write a letter to the little girl saying its from mickey mouse and found it.
